  Peter Barron
  • Formally trained medical doctor, public health specialist and accountant.   Largely public health sector experience for the past 30 years including time as clinician and managerial work in local and provincial government in South Africa.  
  • Main focus of recent work has been around improving the quality of care at primary care level and implementation of a district health system in South Africa. The specific areas of focus have been on improving health systems.
  • Special interests have been using data for decision making; improving financial information and linking this with service level information; district health planning, monitoring and evaluation.
